About Ernie Vincent

Louisiana Hall of Fame Blues Guitarist, Ernie Vincent has played a key role in expanding the role New Orleans has played in music on both national and international levels. As a songwriter he wrote the funk based song "Dap Walk" as well as many others based on the blues and zydeco.  His hit "Dap Walk" proved that New Orleans was not just about jazz and the blues.  As a musician he formed his own bands along with backing the likes of Irma Thomas, Johnny Adams and Ernie K-Doe, who all have also creatively shared their unique New Orleans sound worldwide.  As a businessman Ernie, established KOLAB Records; which not only recorded his music but that of many up and coming artists from his home town.
